When I inserted the url of the image into Post Image or Thumbnail Image field , Thesis didn't resize it. I used Google to find some plugins or articles to help me solve this issue but not found results. Yesterday, I found a way by use a plugin named Get the Image of Justin Tadlock compare with phpThumb.
