Thursday, Google added 70 themes that can be used to add color and perhaps a fancy design to Google Docs forms. When a Google Docs user creates a form, a theme can be selected by clicking the Theme button at the top. Recipients of the form will not see the the theme if the form is in a mail client, but they will if they are sent a url to the form and view it on the web.
Comment reactions to the announcement were not too enthusiastic, asking instead for more control over the form itself – spacing, field validation, font color, and layout. I’m sure Google will listen and improve the form for us, but hey, it’s free, so enjoy the themes!
