These are not particularly new or breaking news, but they are things I have seen in the past few days that I found share-worthy. Some of them are from people who comment on this blog, and some are people I’ve never “talked” to before. That’s because I always read your site if you comment on mine, plus I read other sites that are of interest too, of course.
Wordpress and Smileys – A great chart of smileys plus the text it takes to produce them! I love this handy chart because i am able to be a lot more expressive in WordPress posts and comments when I can smile.
The Best of Twitter Desktop Clients – Secrets Revealed! – A comprehensive look at Twitter desktop clients, including comparison charts that show you exactly what each client has and what a given feature will look like.
27 Links to help you with Thesis – A collection of links which will save a lot of time searching for each Thesis item in Google and hoping the solution you find is correct!
Beginners Guide to Search Engine Optimization (SEO), part 1 – This is a must read for me. I’ve been playing with blogs for a year now, but I’d never taken the time to wade through any instruction about SEO. This one is so clear and authentic that I am looking forward to hitting it this weekend.
Perfect Numbers – A bit of history on perfect numbers, for those of you who like math. It’s amazing to me how much people could figure out even in ancient times. And these days folks with fancy calculators still can’t figure out how to spend less than they have in their checking accounts.
Dog Thwarted in Effort to Kill Self by Eating Fake Breast – Don’t read this one while you’re eating, but with the veterinarian’s sharp wit and fast thinking treatment, this story is funny and the doggy lived despite his big mistake.

Asswass´s last blog ..4 Tips to increase your Confidence Level in the Blogosphere
I had found a few things out there that I had bookmarked to refer to later – either to learn from, or in the case of the poor dog, to send to other pet lovers.
But I’m always making the rounds of the blogs!
Me too…
Hope to be in the list.
Thanks for sharing Christie, Learning is awesome…..and by networking with other people, you can learn so much…
Christie, I have a quick question: I hope I’m asking in the right place..
I’ve notice with my comments list, people’s blog is not showing, for others to press any link if interested in checking out other blogs…. What type of plugin would I need to install in my blog…..for that to appear in the comments section?
Thanks.
Paulo´s last blog ..How To Transform Your Self Image.
I see what you mean – the name is not even a link to their blog. I don’t see anything special in WordPress settings to make that happen or not (anyone else know)? But I do have the CommentLuv plugin that shows what your last blog post was. That would probably give you what you want.
Thanks for the suggestion Christie…
I’ll see how I go with it….
Cheers….

Hey, I made the list… how cool is that, my first time ever – thanks
Great list also, that “27 Links to help you with Thesis”-article will definitely be helpful to me soon.

Your design looks great already, but I’m looking forward to your getting Thesis because I’m hoping for some good tutorials from you – with code I can copy/paste in those small moments when I can get the home PC all to myself.
Wow! Thanks for adding me to the list!!
Question: What plugin are you using for the “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” link at the bottom of the comment box?
Robert Owen´s last blog ..Paying Homage to the 80’s, Sorta.
Oh between the smileys or maybe the shutdown command post (where I reminisced about shutting down remote servers and forgetting to add -r….) you had to make the list.
The plugin I’m using is called Subscribe to Comments, by Mark Jaquith.
Wow! What a pleasant surprise! You’re so kind Christie! Thanks for featuring my post about the desktop clients. Luckily I’ve just updated several features for Tweetdeck awhile ago. phew..
Appreciate your friendship and support. I’ll be checking out other links too for you must have spent some times compiling the list for us. Good job!

Ching Ya´s last blog ..12 Ways To Reveal Suspicious Shortened URLs!
Thank you for appreciating the pictures. ^^ I spent more times on those than writing sometimes. Glad it’s all worth it.
Your request made me realized I haven’t properly display my archives. Need to work on that! ^^ Sorry for the trouble. I once did a post about adding Social Bookmark to Blogger. Is that what you have in mind? What information that you like to find out most about? Twit This is limiting to Twitter sharing alone while ShareThis offers more options other than Twitter. Or perhaps I should cover a post about post sharing — WP style? ^^What do you think?
Thanks so much for the suggestion! Looking forward to your reply.

Ching Ya´s last blog ..12 Ways To Reveal Suspicious Shortened URLs!
That’s exactly what I was talking about – the post sharing – WP style. I notice a lot of blogs have a very prominent, easy way to Tweet something, but on the other hand I always appreciate a stumble or digg too! So I didn’t know what would be most effective to use.
To make matters worse, sometimes I get too plugin-happy, and they start walking all over each other. Last week I had to remove my contact form plugin because it plus another plugin were fighting and made me lose the button on the Settings – General page! The good news is, once I deactivated/deleted that plugin, I got the button back.
So yes I am looking forward to whatever you come up with, and I will also check out your adding social bookmark post. Thanks!!!
Well suggested! =) Something that I’m interested to know as well. Will arrange for it, probably need to do some research. Try my best! ^^ Thank you Christie. You’re a valuable contributor!

Wow, excellent, thanks! Gee, here I am handing out assignments today.
This is my first time seeing your Bytes from around the Internet post, it’s different than most other wrap-ups and weekly reviews I come across.
I like how you incorporate things that are not all 100% blog, seo tip related and offer up some good laughs too.
Is this a series you do weekly or was this one of those “Let me do this now” posts?
Extreme John´s last blog ..Carano vs Cyborg Predictions
This was my first time to do this. Most of the links were things I had already reTweeted or Stumbled in the usual way, but when I got that post from the vet blog about the dog who swallowed an empty promise, I decided to share with readers the strange brew of things I had enjoyed recently! I’ll probably do it every two weeks until get going in a good posting rhythm – still trying to get all that figured out.
I only got a trackback now to my old post. I just wanted to say thanks Christie, really appreciate it.
George Serradinho´s last blog ..Create your own website Favicon
Very useful set of links there, Christie.
I can safely say, that I have only used Serradinho’s “27 Links to help you with Thesis” out of that list. “Dog Thwarted in Effort to Kill Self by Eating Fake Breast” sounds like a bonus read!
